Seattle had lost three games in a row before Saturday's 7-3 win at Arizona; France and Marmolejos homer

FRANCEJustus Sheffield pitched well and Ty France and Jose Marmolejos hit homers as Seattle snapped its three-game losing skid with a 7-3 win at Arizona on Saturday.

Sheffield gave up five hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking three in seven innings.

France hit a solo homer in a four-run first inning and then Marmolejos a two-run shot in the fifth inning.

France, who was acquired from San Diego, had three hits. Marmolejos had two hits and three RBIs.

The Mariners (20-25) and Diamondbacks (17-30) play the series finale at 1:10 p.m. Sunday. Justin Dunn pitches for Seattle opposite Luke Weaver.
