PSU football spring slate announced
If all goes as planned, Portland State will kick off a six-game football schedule on Feb. 27 at Hillsboro Stadium against Eastern Washington.
The Big Sky Conference announced its schedule for a spring football season on Nov. 4. Each team will play six games.
The Vikings' other home games at Hillsboro Stadium are March 27 against UC Davis and April 3 against Cal Poly. Portland State's road games will be March 6 at Northern Arizona, March 13 at Idaho and April 10 at Montana.
The Big Sky has scheduled open dates for all teams on March 20 and April 17 in case games need to be rescheduled.
A 16-team FCS playoff is scheduled to start on April 24.
Defending Big Sky champion Sacramento State opted not to play a spring schedule and plans to return to action in the fall of 2021.
The date to start practice for PSU has not been announced.
Portland State athletes, including its basketball teams whose seasons are scheduled to start in late November, remain limited as to the types of training they can do because of Multnomah County COVID-19 restrictions.
