Denver had an incredible 39 assists on 45 baskets. The Nuggets went 19 of 46 on 3-pointers. They scored 41 first-quarter points.

Paul Millsap had 18 points and Jamal Murray 16 and Nikola Jokic had 12 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.

The Nuggets also outrebounded Portland 55-33.

At one point, Robert Covington had as many 3-pointers (three) as the rest of the Portland roster combined. The Blazers shot 9 of 34 from 3-point land.

Covington led Portland with 15 points, and Damian Lillard, Carmelo Anthony and Enes Kanter had 14 each.

Next up: The Blazers and Nuggets play again at 6 p.m. Friday (NBC Sports Northwest, Rip City Radio 620). It's the Blazers' final preseason game before it Dec. 23 opener against Utah at Moda Center.
