Mavericks lead for entire game, beat Trail Blazers, 132-112
The Portland Trail Blazers are heading back out on the road after a quick two games — both losses — at Moda Center.
Luka Doncic had a triple-double and Kristaps Porzingis had 22 points as Dallas beat Portland 132-112 Wednesday, a night after Minnesota downed the Blazers on the same court.
Dallas led the entire game.
The Blazers (20-28) recently went 4-2 on a road trip, and now head out for a four-game trip, starting 5 p.m. Friday at Houston, followed by games at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Chicago, 5 p.m. Monday at Oklahoma City and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Los Angeles Lakers.
The Mavericks (28-21) shot .545 from the floor, including .444 from 3-point land (16 of 36). They had 35 assists on their 48 baskets, and had a 52-30 bench scoring advantage. Doncic had 15 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. Porzingis had 22 points and Jalen Brunson 20 points and 11 assists.
The Mavs had lost by 38 points Tuesday at Golden State.
Anfernee Simons had 23 points and CJ McCollum 20 for Portland.
The Blazers shot .512 from the field (.368 3-pointers, 14 of 38).
Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle), Nassir Little (shoulder), Robert Covington (knee), Damian Lillard (core), Larry Nance Jr. (knee) and Cody Zeller (knee) missed the game.
