Tech junior Jelisa Turner shares the fastest 100 time (13.13) in the PIL this spring and ranks second in the 200 (27.59).

She's the daughter of former Tech sprinter Patrice Woods Turner, who was on Benson's 1991 and 1992 state championship 4x400 relay teams and won the '92 state title in the 300 hurdles. In '91, Benson captured the first of its seven state team championships in a 14-year run. Tech was second in 1992, then wore the crown six years in a row from 1999-2004.

Woods Turner went on to All-American hurdler status at Washington, then coached at UW and Washington State and was inducted into the PIL Hall of Fame.
