Defending PIL champion Quakers take sole possession of 1st place

The Quakers won their fifth game in a row, defeating the Roughriders 2-1 in a battle for first place in the Portland Interscholastic League.Both teams score their runs in the first inning of a pitcher's duel, and Franklin High's Samantha Brauckmiller picks up the Portland Interscholastic League win with a five-hitter.

Franklin improves to 6-1 in PIL games, while Roosevelt drops to 4-1.
