Goalkeeper Franch boosts Portland's NWSL standing, too, with 'unbeliveable' play

The Portland Thorns are not at the top of the National Women's Soccer League standings, nor are they at the top of their game.

But Saturday's 2-0 win at Sky Blue FC moved the Thorns (4-1-3) into third place and felt like a warning shot to the rest of the league.

Lindsey Horan scored her first two goals of the season, and Portland beat a team that had won its first three matches of the year at its New Jersey home.
