Police are asking the public to help identify to suspects in two early morning incident in Southeast Portland.

The names of the victims were not immediately released. No one was immediately arrested in either incident.

Two adult men were arrested in the first incident in Southeast Portland which is being investigated as a gang-related shooting. Police say their injuries appear to be serious but not life-threatening.

Two adult males are suspected in the shooting. Witnesses described one of the suspects as a younger black male, 5'10" to 6'00" tall, 190 pounds, with a goatee and numerous tattoos on his chest and torso, and armed with a handgun. The other suspect was described as a black male with hazel colored hair. They were last seen leaving the location in a white sedan.

According to police, at 2:12 a.m. on Aug. 5, East Precinct officers responded to the report that two people were struck by gunfire outside the 7-11 store, located at 3500 Southeast 122nd Ave.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located two adult males on the ground outside of the entrance to the 7-11. Both appeared to be suffering from gunshot injuries.

Officers provided the men with emergency medical first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived on scene. The men were transported by ambulances to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers canvassed the area and located evidence of gunfire on the 7-11 property, as well as multiple bullet strikes to the store. Based on preliminary information, the Gang Enforcement Team responded to conduct the investigation. Criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division also responded to assist with this investigation.

Anyone who witnessed this shooting or who possesses video surveillance footage of the shooting is asked to contact Portland Police Bureau's Tactical Operations Division's Gang Enforcement Team at 503-823-4106.

One adult male was injured in the second incident. His injuries are also described as serious but not life-threatening. No suspect information was released.

According to police, at 4:09 a.m. on Aug. 5, Central Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire near Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest Harvey Milk Street.

When officers arrived, they searched the area for suspects and anyone injured by the reported gunfire. During the preliminary investigation officers contacted people that had heard the gunfire, but did not locate any suspects or injured people in connection with the shooting.

As officers canvassed the area, they located evidence of gunfire in a parking lot located on the northwest corner of Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest Harvey Milk Street.

During the investigation, officers learned an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot injuries had arrived at an area hospital by private vehicle. Officers responded to the hospital. Based on information learned during the investigation, the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Robbery Detail was notified of the shooting and continued the investigation.
