The gunfire in the King neighborhood was reported to Portland Police Bureau on Tuesday.

FILE  - A Portland police car The Portland Police Bureau is investigating after an occupied vehicle was struck by gunfire in the King neighborhood, according to a news release.

Officers responded to Northeast 9th Avenue at Emerson Street around 10:26 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, after reports of gunfire in the King neighborhood in Portland.

Police say a woman was inside a vehicle when it was struck by gunfire. She was not injured.

"Preliminary information suggests the occupied vehicle that was struck was not the intended target of the gunfire," police say.
