Portland Police Bureau is investigating the incident near 102nd Avenue on Monday, Oct. 7.

A parked, empty vehicle was hit by gunfire during a shooting in the Lents neighborhood, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

East Precinct officers responded to the area around Southeast 102nd Avenue and Steele Street at 1:11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, according to a news release.

When they arrived, they found evidence of gunfire near 99th Avenue and Southeast Knight Street. The vehicle damage was "possibly" caused by a bullet, police said.

The GVRT continues to investigate.
