Project to help structure survive a major quake could cost between $550 million and $850 million.

Commissioners vote Thursday, Nov. 14, on a range of alternatives and evaluation criteria for a study leading to a preferred alternative recommendation in 2020, and to decide how funds will be raised to pay for the project.

Board members meet at 9:30 a.m. in the first-floor boardroom at 501 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.

The project is expected to improve the Burnside Street to withstand a major earthquake. The project is estimated to cost between $550 million and $850 million.
