Portland Police say the suspects were intending to strike a nearby vehicle, but the gunfire also hit apartments.

VIA PPB - Police say none of the vehicles shown in this picture were invovled in the apartment shooting in Portland. Portland Police continue to investigate a Friday night shooting that sent bullets into a child's bedroom.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team says the suspect or suspects were targeting a vehicle in the Hazelwood neighborhood, but several of the bullets struck an occupied apartment building behind it.

"No children were in the room at the time and thankfully, no one was injured," authorities report.

The shooting occured on Nov. 8 around 8:15 p.m. in the 12600 block of Southeast Stark Street.
