Eastside MAX service was disrupted Monday afternoon by a partial train derailment.

According to TriMet, at around 2:45 p.m., a westbound train was leaving the 82nd Avenue station when the second set of wheels lifted off the track.

Portland Fire & Rescue responded two minutes later and found that no cars had overturned, but termed it a "derailment."

There were no reports of injuries, but service was disrupted between the Gateway Transit Center and the Northest 7th Avenue MAX station.

Service could be disrupted into the afternoon rush hour.
