by: KOIN NEWS 6 - Police responded to shooting at Mystic Strip Club, 9950 SE Stark in Portland, overnight (KOIN 6 News)Four people were wounded, two critically, in a shooting at the Mystic Strip Club in Southeast Portland Saturday night.

The club is located at 9950 SE Stark Street.

One of the club's bouncers, 26-year-old Brian Rizzo, is in critical condition with a head wound. Another bouncer, who has not been charged with a crime, shot the gunman, 43-year-old Thomas Hjelmeland.

According to police, at 8:40 p.m. on Jan.11, East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting with multiple victims at Mystic Gentleman's Club, located at 9950 Southeast Stark Street.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located four victims suffering gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were suffering from apparent life-threatening injuries, two others were suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

All four victims were transported to Portland hospitals for treatment.

31-year-old Gonzalo Zamora-Hernandez and 27-year-old Nichole Procter were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

After a preliminary investigation, detectives believe that Hjelmeland entered the bar and started shooting, striking the three victims. As he left, Rizzo returned fire, striking and critically injuring the suspect.

In July 2012, two men and one woman were arrested in connection with the death of Edward Ford Jr. at the club.
