by: PORTLAND POLICE BUREAU - Police are asking the public to identify this suspect.Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who inappropriately touched 13-year-old girl in a TriMet bus shelter and may have committed a similar act with a 14-year-old girl in a different case.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his mid-20s to early 30s, 5'10" tall, 175 pounds, black hair ,brown eyes, and clean-shaven.

According to the Portland Police Bureau Child Abuse Team, at 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 6, a 13-year-old female reported that a man approached her using sexually explicit language and inappropriately touched her in a TriMet bus shelter, located at North Dekum Street and Durham Avenue. The victim was waiting for the bus to go to school. The suspect was caught on TriMet surveillance video shortly after the incident.

During the investigation, detectives learned of a similar incident that occurred on Jan, 23, 2014, at approximately 8:46 a.m. In this incident, a 14-year-old girl reported that a man sat next to her on a TriMet bus and made sexually explicit comments and inappropriately touched her in the area of North Woolsey Avenue and Trenton Street.

A surveillance image from the February 6 incident is being released to the public to assist police in identifying the suspect.
