A 22-year-old man was wounded in a gang shooting Friday evening.

Police have identified the victim as Patrick Kimmons. His injuries were non-life threatening.

According to police, at 8:01 p.m. on April 1, North Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Sandy Boulevard. As officers were enroute, they received additional information that a 9-1-1 call was received from approximately 100th Avenue and Northeast Sandy regarding a shooting but the call disconnected.

Officers arrived in the area of 122nd and Sandy and located evidence of gunfire. A short time later, a male was dropped off at Providence Medical Center with a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center by ambulance.

After Kimmons was dropped off at Providence, hospital security alerted police about a vehicle containing several occupants that was somehow associated with him. Officers stopped the vehicle at 55th Avenue and East Burnside and took four people into custody on probation violation warrants: Mascio Walker, 22; Marico Camel-Harris, 23; Isaiah Hassan, 21; and Romel Yarborough

All five people, including Kimmons, are known gang associates and were uncooperative with Gang Enforcement Team investigators.

Preliminary information indicates that the shooting occurred between occupants of two vehicles and is gang-related.

Anyone who witnessed this shooting and has not talked to police is asked to call the non-emergency line at (503) 823-3333. All other information is directed to the Gang Enforcement Team at (503) 823-4106.
