Native Foods Cafe will open in May at the Clackamas Town Center, 12130 S.E. 82nd Ave., Suite 3020.

by: NATIVE FOODS PRESS, 2014 - Stuffed bell peppers made by Native Foods Cafe are in the new 'Native Foods Celebration Cookbook.'The rapidly expanding eatery offers all dishes for under $10, served in under 10 minutes, in addition to local beer.

“We’re looking forward to opening in Clackamas Town Center, which is the most heavily trafficked mall in the Portland metro area,” said Native Foods Cafe’s Andrea McGinty who, with husband, Daniel Dolan, owns the fast-growing fresh food company.

With their other Oregon restaurant at Tualatin’s Bridgeport Village mall, McGinty and Dolan plan to open 12 to 15 locations nationwide in 2014. Clackamas will be the Chicago-based company’s 17th location.

“The Portland vicinity has long been a focus of our national expansion,” McGinty said. “We love the Portland vibe and can’t wait to spread the vegan love.”

All dishes are made from scratch using fresh ingredients. The tempeh and seitan — protein-packed meat alternatives — are made in-house, a laborious task very few chefs undertake.

“For a restaurant that serves chef-crafted vegan food, it’s just delicious and appeals to a wide range of palates,” McGinty said.
