TriMet will provide shuttle buses in a portion of the Lloyd District because a maintenance and improvement project will disrupt transit service between Aug. 11 and 15.

Crews will be replacing a MAX track switch located in the intersection of Northeast 11th Avenue and Holladay Street, as well as working on track turnouts and infill areas between tracks and ties. The $1.26 million week-long project is part of TriMet’s on-going investment in MAX maintenance and infrastructure to improve safety, reliability and on-time performance.

As a result of the project, MAX and Line 70 bus service will be disrupted from Monday, Aug. 11, through Friday, Aug. 15. Westbound MAX trains will not run between Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue and the Rose Quarter platforms. Eastbound trains will not run between the Oregon Convention Center and the Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue platforms.

According to TriMet, shuttle buses will be available to take riders between stations. Shuttles will run frequently between the Rose Quarter or the Convention Center MAX stations and Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue MAX Station.

In addition, shuttles will run between Interstate Rose Quarter and Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue MAX stations for Green Line riders going to or from Portland City Center.

TriMet encourages riders to allow a little extra time to accommodate this quick transfer and the shuttle bus service.
