Pipe break closes section of NE Sandy Boulevard
A stretch of Northeast Sandy Boulevard at 138th Avenue will be closed for several days as the city repairs a water main that broke Wednesday afternoon, flooding the area.
Portland Water Bureau officials said the city would replace the 16-inch water pipe that burst and sent water gushing into nearby parking lots and railroad tracks. The city said drivers should detour around the area by traveling north on 138th Avenue to Airport Way.
Customers in the area may see dirty water and/or low pressure because of the broken pipe.
