Flags across the state will be lowered to half-staff Saturday, March 21, to honor Dave Frohnmayer, the former state attorney general and former University of Oregon president who died March 9 in Eugene.

Gov. Kate Brown ordered all flags at public institutions across the state to be lowered on the day that Frohnmayer’s memorial service is held on the UO campus.

“I am heartbroken at the loss of my wonderful and brilliant friend Dave Frohnmayer,” Brown said. “His deep love of Oregon is reflected in a lifetime of leadership and public service. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and the Frohnmayer family at this difficult time.”
