Flags lowered to honor Frohnmayer's legacy
Flags across the state will be lowered to half-staff Saturday, March 21, to honor Dave Frohnmayer, the former state attorney general and former University of Oregon president who died March 9 in Eugene.
Gov. Kate Brown ordered all flags at public institutions across the state to be lowered on the day that Frohnmayers memorial service is held on the UO campus.
I am heartbroken at the loss of my wonderful and brilliant friend Dave Frohnmayer, Brown said. His deep love of Oregon is reflected in a lifetime of leadership and public service. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and the Frohnmayer family at this difficult time.
