Exotic car event benefits children undergoing medical treatments
Want to have your picture taken sitting in an exotic car? You can, for a small donation, on Sept. 13. Healthcare providers and families with children undergoing medical treatments can do so for free.
The nonprofit, Dream Drives for Kids, is holding their first public "Sit and Snap" from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at Matrix Integrated at 4000 S.W. Macadam Ave. Around a dozen vehicles are expected to be on hand, including a 2002 Lamborghini Murcielago, a 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider, a 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, a 2012 Mercedes SLS AMG "Gullwing", and a 2014 BMW i8 Sport Hybrid.
Suggested admission is $5 per family and $1 per car. Proceeds will support the organization's mission of giving children undergoing medical treatments fun experiences.
