Bicyclist killed in crash with vehicle in Southwest Portland
A bicyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle in Southwest Portland on Monday afternoon.
The names of the victim and driver were not immediately released. Police say the driver remained at the scene and impairment may be an issue.
According to the police, at 4:02 p.m. on May 30, Central Precinct officers received a report of a bicycle struck by a car in the 6300 block of Southwest Multnomah Boulevard.
Responding officers learned that the bicyclist had suffered fatal injuries in the crash and activated the Major Crash Team.
Police say it appears that both the bicyclist and vehicle were headed east bound on Multnomah when the crash occurred.
