Argument outside Burnside apartments led to shooting
Portland police said one person was wounded Tuesday night after an argument at an East Burnside Street apartment complex.
The shooting happened at about 7:25 p.m. March 20, at the Morgan Place Apartments, 15900 E. Burnside St. East Precinct officers were unable find a suspect after a search of the area. Officers found evidence of gunfire in the parking lot and discovered that two apartments had been struck by bullets.
A shooting victim arrived at a local hospital for treatment of what police said was a non-life-threatening injury. The victim's name has not been released.
Witnesses told officers that an argument occurred before shots were fired and people ran from the area.
The city's Gang Enforcement Team is leading the investigation.
