Sandy man dead, woman arrested
Clackamas County Sheriffs deputies arrested a woman Saturday in connection with death of a man in Sandy.
The names of the suspect and victim were not immediately released.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, at about 5:12 p.m. on March 25, deputies responded to 18655 S.E. Autumn Way in unincorporated Sandy in response to a report of a shooting where the male victim was reported to be deceased.
When deputies arrived at the location a short time later, they made several attempts to contact the suspect by phone, loudspeaker and text message.
The suspect initially refused to comply with the instructions, but, after some time, began exchanging text messages with dispatchers. After about one hour, the exited the residence and surrendered to deputies without incident.
Deputies searched the house and located the body of a deceased male.
Detectives with the CCSO Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit responded to conduct the investigation while the Crime Scene Investigations Unit processed the scene with the help of the Clackamas County Medical Examiner's Office and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Team.
