Both will be hosted by the City Club of Portland, which historically scheduled the annual address as one of its weekly Friday Forum luncheons.

But this week, the longstand civic organization will host the traditional address at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, at Portland Community College's Southeast campus, 2305 S.E. 82nd Ave. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for the general public. According to the mayor's office, in his second State of the City speech, "Wheeler will outline his vision for the future of our city, his strategies for dealing with the critical issues facing our community, and the role Mayors across the country are playing in leading a national dialogue."

Then, at noon on Friday, April 13, Wheeler will answer questions during the club's regularly scheduled weekly lunch at the Sentinel Hotel, 614 SW 11th Ave. According to the club, the session will allow members to dig more deeply into the details of the previous day's address. The event will be moderated by moderated by Rukaiyah Adams, chief investment officer at the Meyer Memorial Trust. Tickets can also be purcahsed through the club's website.
