Gunfire, robbery reported in NE Portland on Sunday
Separate accounts of gunfire and robbery took place in Northeast Portland on the night of Sunday of June 3.
Around 11:55 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire on Northeast 42nd Ave.
Police searched the area for victims or suspects, but only found evidence of the gunfire. Police found no injured people in local hospitals and have received no reports of damaged property.
The shooting remains under investigation with the North Precinct.
North Precinct officers also responded to a robbery at Stan's Market, at 5020 Northeast 82nd Avenue around 11:41 p.m. Sunday night.
According to the report, two suspects entered the store with firearms and demanded money from the store employee. The suspects left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses described the suspects as two white males. The first suspect appeared to be in his early 60s and was about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build and missing many of his front teeth. The second suspect appeared to be in his early 30s, was about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and brown hair and eyes. Both suspects carried firearms.
Officers searched the surrounding area but found no one matching the descriptions.
There have been no reported injuries from the incident.
