Police say the residence was not the intended target of the shooting on Saturday, July 7.

North Precinct officers responded around 10:24 p.m. to the 5600 block of Northeast Hassalo Street on Saturday, July 7, after area residents reported hearing gunfire.

One block away, in the 5700 block, a 9-1-1 caller told police their door had been hit by bullets.

"Investigators do not believe the residence that was struck by gunfire was the intended target of this shooting," a news release states.

Police say there were no reported injuries, arrests and they have no suspect information. They did find evidence of gunfire on Hassalo Street near Normandale Park.

Anyone with information or surveillance footage should call 503-823-4106. The Gang Enforcement Team continues to investigate.
