Missing woman's body found in Santiam National Forest
Crews have found the body of a missing Salem woman whose car was found in the Santiam National Forest about 15 miles south of Molalla.
Amber Jayne Eldridge, 35, was found in rugged terrain about a quarter of a mile from where her car was found on Sawtell Road in the forest, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
The medical examiner will determine how she died. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
Eldridge told friends around 5:45 p.m. Saturday she was leaving Molalla and heading home to Salem. When she didn't make it home, friends became worried and called the authorities.
