Speakeasy Lounge shooting suspect arrested
Police seized multiple loaded handguns from a man they say opened fire last month outside a local watering hole on the border of Gresham and Portland.
Portland resident Odell Tony Adams, 36, faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of first-degree criminal mischief.
Adams was arrested at a home in the 4300 block of North Kerby Avenue in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 2. Two guns were also found at the residence.
Police also executed a search warrant at a home in the 7300 block of Southeast Claybourne Street but apparently did not find anything.
The authorities say Adams opened fire outside the Speakeasy Lounge, 545 S.E. 162nd Ave., around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5.
Officers found bullet holes in two unoccupied cars and on the outside of the bar. No injuries were reported.
Adams has three felony convictions and six misdemeanor convictions on his record, according to court documents.
