Portland's Gang Violence Response Team is investigating two Sunday night shootings that wounded two men in separate incidents.
Police said both men suffered serious but non-life-threatening wounds. Their names have not been released.
The first shooting happened at about 8:03 p.m. Dec. 2, near Southeast 135th Avenue and Division Street. East Precinct officers found a man with a leg injury from the shooting. He was being treated at a local hospital for the wound.
Witnesses told police that the shooting suspect left the area in a small dark car traveling northbound on Southeast 136th Avenue.
The second shooting happened at 10:31 p.m. Dec. 2, near Northeast 10th Avenue and Halsey Street. North Precinct officers found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was also being treated at a local hospital.
Officers found evidence of a shooting, including damage to a vehicle associated with the victim. They said the suspect was a tall, skinny white man, 25 to 35, about 6 feet tall with blonde hair, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
