Police said the man was being treated for serious life-threatening injuries after Wednesday evening crash.

A man was seriously injured Wednesday evening when he was struck by a car while crossing Southeast Powell Boulevard.

Portland police said the man was being treated at a local hospital for what officers called "serious life-threatening injuries." The man's name has not been released.

Police said the crash happened at about 6:57 p.m., Jan. 9, in the 16700 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators. No arrests or citations have been issued.

The Major Crash Team is investigating the crash. Southeast Powell Boulevard was closed between Southeast 162nd and 170th avenues.
