Man hospitalized after assault reported in NW Portland
One man is in the hospital and another is speaking with investigators following reports of an "assault" in Northwest Portland.
Central Precinct officers responded to Northwest 16th Avenue around 4:27 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, according to a news release.
Officers decided one man needed emergency medical care, and the man was transported to the hospital after being treated at the scene.
The man is suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say another man was involved in the incident. He is said to be cooperating with police and has not been arrested at this time.
"No weapons were involved in this incident," police say. "There is no identified risk to the public."
