Kelly Lee Pyatt is facing charges of unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree criminal mischief, driving under the influence of intoxicants, recklessly endangering, reckless driving, failure to perform a driver's duties and menacing, according to court records.

The 34-year-old Milwaukie resident was arrested during a "high risk traffic stop" on the east end of the Ross Island Bridge.

Police attest the incident began around 3:48 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, when the driver of a GMC Suburban allegedly collided with a Subaru.

"The driver of the Subaru told the officer the GMC driver had pointed a gun at him," police wrote. "The GMC driver then rammed into the Subaru and drove away."

PPB PHOTO - Police claim this loaded firearm was confiscated during an investigation. Police say Pyatt was driving the GMC, and they also say a loaded firearm was found inside the car.

Pyatt told jailers he works for Intel and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 2005.

"The defendant reports alcohol issues, recent detox and was supposed to be going to treatment tomorrow," according to a jail record.

Pyatt pleaded no contest to DUII in 2011. He remains behind bars at the downtown jail at this time.
