UPDATE: Victim was a 25-year-old man who was found by officers near the Tik Tok Restaurant and Bar.

FILE PHOTO - Portland police vehicles.A 25-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday monring near the Tik Tok Restaurant and Bar in Southeast Portland.

Portland police said Charles Exzavyer Gaines was killed by a gunshot in the area. His name was released Tuesday morning, Feb. 19.

Officers responded at about 12:45 a.m. Feb. 18, to calls about gunshots in the 11200 block of Southeast Division Street, where they found Gaines suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Members of the city's Gun Violence Reduction Team and homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. Police said Tuesday, Feb. 19, that the shooting was near the Tik Tok, but there was no evidence the victim was in the restaurant before the shooting.

Southeast 112th Avenue was closed from Lincoln to Division streets during the shooting investigation. The closure was expected to last several hours.
