Portland police are on the hunt for an alleged hit-and-run driver after a female pedestrian was injured in Portland.

North Precinct officers responded to the corner of Northeast Klickitat Street and 15th Avenue in the city's Sabin neighborhood around 4:19 p.m. on Friday, April 5, according to a news release.

"The vehicle involved left the scene," police say. "The investigation is continuing."

The victim — a 50-year-old woman — was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of "serious" but non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic Division officers believe the victim and the run-away driver "may have been involved in a disturbance immediately before the incident."
