Local man Grant Brightman gets $3.5 million one-time payment after buying lottery ticket.

VIA GOOGEL MAPS - A $10.4 million Lottery ticket was sold at this Albertsons at 18425 N.W. West Union Road in Portland. An Albertsons grocery store in Northwest Portland has sold one lucky man a Megabucks ticket with a multi-million-dollar payday.

Local gambler Grant Brightman was wondering what to eat for dinner when he stopped by a Portland Albertsons, 18425 N.W. West Union Rd., on a recent Monday night.

On impulse, he decided to purchase a $4 Oregon's Game Megabucks ticket — which turned out to be worth $10.4 million!

"I normally don't play," Brightman said, according to the Oregon Lottery. "I had $4 in cash, and I normally don't carry much cash. I saw the Lottery machine and the jackpot and figured why not?"

Brightman told Lottery officials he checked his ticket the next morning, and was instantly shocked. He wondered if he was "hallucinating" and kept double-checking the number while driving up to Salem to claim the prize.

"When he called for me his voice wasn't normal," his wife Macie said. "I knew something was up. I didn't know it was beyond awesome!"

The couple opted for the one-time payment and took home $3.536 million after taxes.
