UPDATE: Victim identified in April 16 crash near Southeast 100th and Holgate, the 16th fatal crash of the year.

PMG FILE PHOTO - Portland police vehicles.A male driver died in a single-vehicle crash in the area of Southeast 100th and Holgate early Tuesday.

The name of the victim was not immediately released. No other injuries are reported.

According to police, at 3:30 a.m. on April 16, East Precinct officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle that had crashed into a power pole in the area. Officers located a deceased adult male at the scene.

Police say the Major Crash Team responded to assist in the investigation. Traffic is affected in the area from 100th Avenue to 102nd Avenue.

Police say this was the 24th Major Crash Team activation and the 16th fatality investigated by it so far this year.

The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office was advised of the crash. If anyone has information relating to this investigation, they are asked to call Investigator Garret Dow at 503-823-5070.
