CBD cold brew? You can buy it for $4.20 at Stumptown
Stumptown Coffee Roasters is getting in on the CBD craze with the Saturday launch of CBD Cold Brew Elixir on National Cold Brew Day, according to KOIN 6 News.
The drink will contain 15 milligrams of CBD grown in Oregon. Only 1,000 bottles will be produced.
"It makes you more focused, more calm," said Brent Wolczynski, Stumptown's head brewer. "It kind of prevents caffeine high from being too jittery."
The bottles will sell for — wait for it — $4.20.
CBD comes from the cannabis plant but does not contain any THC, the ingredient in marijuana that gets people high.
Researchers claim CBD has therapeutic properties but is not currently regulated by the FDA.
"I'm excited for people to try this. I think it's a really good opportunity for people to taste our coffee in a really concentrated form and bring out a lot of intensity and sweetness and I'm excited to see what people think," Wolczynski said.
