Man shot outside Shake Bar dies
A man was shot to death outside a Northwest Portland bar in the early hours of Friday, and the shooter remains at large.
The victim is Trayontay D Jones, 29. The autopsy is completed and concluded that he died from a gun shot wound. There was a disturbance outside Shake Bar, 28 N.W. Fourth Ave., around 1:20 a.m. on April 19, Portland Police said. As officers were responding they learned one person had been shot. Despite emergency life-saving measures, the man died before medical responders got to the scene.
Detectives and forensic investigators remain at the scene. Authorities said there is surveillance video of the fight breaking out.
Shake Bar was not open at the time.
The area of Northwest Third to Fifth Avenues between Davis and Burnside was closed for the investigation.
There is no information about a suspect, authorities said. The investigation is active and ongoing.
