UPDATE: Police identify Uber passenger killed in crash allegedly caused by intoxicated driver in a stolen pickup truck.

PMG FILE PHOTO - Portland police vehicles.An allegedly intoxicated man driving a stolen pickup truck is accused of causing a fatal crash in Northeast Portland early Sunday.

The victim is identified as Ray Warren Ilar, 47.

The driver and two other people were injured in the three-vehicle crash. None of their names were immediately released. "The suspect in this crash is still at a local area hospital receiving medical treatment," according to a news release.

According to police, the crash happened along Northeast 102nd over I-84. The Major Crash Team responded to conduct the investigation.

Investigators have learned that an adult male was driving a red Dodge pickup truck southbound on Northeast 102 Avenue, at speed estimated as approximately 100 mph. The truck swerved over the center median into oncoming northbound traffic, colliding head-on with a Lexus SUV that was driving northbound on Northeast 102 avenue.

Police say the driver of the truck was ejected from his vehicle, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. It is believed that he was under the influence of intoxicants. Officers have learned that the truck had been reported stolen earlier in the week.

An adult female had been driving a Lexus SUV, which was in service as an Uber car and carrying an adult male passenger in the rear seat, police say. The female driver suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

Upon impact, the rear passenger of the Lexus SUV, identified as Ilar, was ejected through the front windshield and died from his injuries. Police say he apparently was not wearing his seat belt.

According to police, as a result of the initial collision, the Lexus was knocked into the path ofa Toyota Sienna minivan that was driving northbound. minivan was driven by a juvenile, who suffered non-life threatening injuries when th two vehicles collided, and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

The Multnomah County Medical Examiner and the Portland Police Forensic Evidence Division members also responded to the scene. The name of the deceased person will not be released until the Medical Examiner has notified next of kin.

The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office was advised of this incident.
