Man in custody after woman stabbed downtown, police say
UPDATE: Police say the adult male suspect in this case has been taken to a hospital for treatment of a "pre-existing health condition."
"Charges are anticipated," officers say. "His name and charges will not be released until he is booked into jail."
Police say they recovered a knife and lodged it as evidence.

Police say a man is in custody after officers began investigating a stabbing in downtown Portland.
Central Precinct officers responded to the 100 block of Northwest 6th Avenue in the city's Old Town neighborhod around 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, following reports that a woman had been stabbed in the foot.
"The victim was transported to a hospital and was determined to have non-life threatening injuries," officers say. "Responding officers detained a male suspect nearby."
Assault Detail detectives continue to investigate the injury caused by a knife.
