Man arrested for downtown stabbing, police say
A man has been arrested for stabbing another male victim, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Central Precinct officers arrested Jeffery Michael Larison, 27, after the alleged stabbing occurred at 8:53 p.m. on Monday, April 30 in the 200 block of Northwest Couch Street in downtown Portland.
Larison is charged with second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and on a pre-exisiting warrant, according to a release.
Police say the man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say witnesses helped them track down Larison, who was arrested near the corner of Southwest Park Avenue and Ankeny Street, according to a news release.
"Officers are continuing to try to determine what led up to the stabbing," police say. "There is no identified risk to the public at this time."
Larison is behind bars at the downtown jail at this time, according to booking records.
