Police respond to armed home invasion in NE Portland
An armed and apparently violent home invasion was reported in Northeast Portland, police say.
East Precinct officers responded to a "disturbance" at a home on the 3600 block of Northeast 90th Avenue around 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, according to a news release.
Police say a suspect or suspects entered a home in order to rob it, leading to a "physical confrontation" with a person inside the house. The suspect then fled the area after letting loose a round from a handgun.
"There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the shooting and very little suspect information shared with police," officers say.
The Gun Violence Reduction Team has transferred the investigation to robbery detectives.
