Flower festival dazzles visitors to Pioneer Courthouse Square
Downtown visitors are enjoying the colorful floral displays at the annual Festival of Flowers at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
The festival has been happening every year in the City's Living Room for over 30 years. Each year, the Square's non-profit management organization works with with local designers and regional growers to create a one-of-a-kind, large-scale design of vibrant color utilizing over 24,000 flowers and plants.
This year's festival is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the square and its transformative role in downtown Portland's character. It had been a parking lot before being turned into an iconic gathering spot and activities center.
This year's festival runs from May 22 to June 4. The plants will be offered for sale to the public at the annual flower sale from June 5 to 7
