Oregon's senior senator joins Reddit Chief Executive Officer Steve Huffman Tuesday morning for a freewheeling Ask Me Anything session. The session will focus on the necessity of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, the section that holds online providers blameless for anything someone else posts on their sites.

Wyden and Huffman take questions beginning at 9 a.m. June 4 at

Section 230 says, "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider." According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the section of the 1996 law allows sites like YouTube, Facebook or Twitter to allow other people to post information, news or comments on their sites without legal liability for that information. It also protects online news sites and bloggers against liability for comments on their sites.
