The deputy was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and the driver of the car was arrested for DUII

WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - Marcos AlcalaAn off-duty Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputy was hit by a car while riding a motorcycle early Sunday morning on Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro.

The name of the deputy was not immediately released. She was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

The driver of the car, who was not immediately identified, fled the scene, but was arrested nearby and charged with DUII.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on June 30.
