Woman dies in two-car crash on SE Division St.
A woman died in a local hospital from injuries she sustained in a two-car crash in Southeast Portland early Monday morning, Aug. 12.
The victim has been identified as Elena Davkina, 48. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and was arrested. He was identified as Zodiac Power Clark, 22. He was lodged into the Multnomah County Detention Center on manslaughter, reckless driving and DUII charges.
Clark works as a pizza delivery driver, according to court docs. He does not have any prior convictions on his record.
Portland police said the crash happened in the early morning hours Aug. 12 near Southeast Division Street and 112th Avenue. The bureau's Major Crash Team is investigating.
Division Street was closed in both directions from Southeast 111th Avenue to 117th avenues for several hours. Southeast 112th Avenue was also closed a block north and south of Division. Both streets have since reopened.
