A man who was shot in the Montavilla neighborhood of Northeast Portland went to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
The name of the adult male victim was not immediately released. The incident was the third shooting in the neighborhood in the past week.
Police said the man arrived at a hospital and officers were called to talk to him. His injuries are not life-threatening.
The man said he'd been shot at a house in the 300 block of Northeast 78th Avenue.
This is the third shooting being investigating in the neighborhood in the past week.
On Tuesday, Aug. 27, police found more than 20 shell casings along Northeast 78th Avenue after what neighbors described as a drive-by shooting.
Officers were back in the area Saturday morning and found bullets in the side of a house in the 300 block of Northeast 78th Avenue after reports of a shooting Friday night.
A neighbor told KOIN 6 News his house has bullet holes in it from Friday's shooting. He said someone drove by firing shots and then someone ran out of a house or apartment, seemingly to return fire.
"I'm going to keep it real," the neighbor said. "It's like retaliation stuff, so when things go down…it's never going to stop until it gets resolved and I don't know how it's going to get resolved."
No victims were reported in the earlier incidents.
