Hillsboro police shoot person in hotel room
A Hillsboro police officer shot a person inside of a hotel room during a Saturday night investigation.
The name of the person who was taken to a hospital with minor injuries was not immediately released.
No officers were injured.
According to Hillsboro police, officers were called to the Extended Stay America on Northeast Eider Court at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 to look into suspicious activity.
The shooting happened at 9:12 p.m. when the officers entered the room and came across the people they were sent to investigate.
Authorities told KOIN 6 News at least four rooms were impacted and some guests were evacuated during the altercation.
Police said there is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
