Authorities say Shelby Terebisi drove drunk nearly 7 miles from Portland to Beaverton.

Shelby TerebesiA Beaverton woman was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants early Thursday morning, Sept. 19, after allegedly driving from Southwest Portland to Beaverton in the eastbound lanes of Highway 26.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said deputies stopped a silver Ford Fusion with a flat tire at about 3:15 a.m. Thursday, near the intersection of Northwest Murray Boulevard and Jenkins Road. They determined Shelby Lee Terebesi, 24, was intoxicated and took her to the Washington County Jail.

Before being pulled over by deputies, Terebesi reportedly drove the wrong way along Highway 26, also known as Sunset Highway, from Southwest Market Street in Portland to Murray Boulevard in Beaverton — a distance of nearly 7 miles. Several witnesses called 9-1-1, and at least one reported he was almost hit while driving eastbound on the highway, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Terebesi then drove up and down Murray Boulevard several times, despite the Ford she was driving having a flat tire, the Sheriff's Office said.

Terebesi's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly measured at 0.17%, more than twice the legal limit.

Deputies said they found an open can of Coors Light in the car after pulling Terebesi over.

Terebesi faces charges of DUII, reckless driving and reckless endangering.
